Getting around in Wrigleyville

visitor's guide

Pedestrian Alert!
When leaving Wrigley Field, never walk east or west on the north side of Addison. You’ll be stuck in a bottleneck of drunken fans trying to squeeze along the sidewalk between the bumper-to-bumper CTA buses and the stadium.

Driving to Wrigleyville?
Check out our partners ParkWhiz.com. If you want to get your car close, plan on spending some beer money—but it's worth it to get in and out like a flash! Watch out for residential permit parking in the area; a trip to the auto impound is a big buzz kill after the game.

There's also the park n' ride shuttle service from DeVry University (located at Addison St. and Western Ave.) for all weekend and night games. It's only $6 and that includes a roundtrip shuttle ride to and from the game. See the map on the right below.

Taking the bus?
You can take the Addison #152 or the Clark #22 buses that will drop you off right next to Wrigley Field. The Halsted #8 bus will also get you within a few blocks of the park. See CTA map below and on the left.

Taking the train?
You can take the Red Line CTA train and get off on the Addison stop. Wrigley Field is within sunflower seed spitting distance of the train station. The Blue Line stops at Addison where you can catch the eastbound Addison #152 bus to Wrigley Field. See CTA map by hovering on the Taking the train link.

Taking a cab?
If your cabby doesn't know where Wrigley Field is, get out! Depending on the time of day, a cab ride is a decent choice for getting to the game. Plan on getting out and walking once you get within five or six blocks. Save the extra fare that’ll get racked up while sitting in game traffic around the field and spend it on a hot dog.

Riding your bicycle?
Best deal for transportation to Wrigleyville. It's the only free thing in the area besides catching a glimpse of some cleavage in the bleachers. Just don't get caught. There is a free bicycle valet on the west side of Wrigley Field near Clark and Waveland outside Gate K. Remember, riding a bicycle intoxicated is against the law and extremely dangerous... Keep the rubber to the road!
